With August 1 as a node for countdown of two months, popularization and propaganda upsurge for the Chess Tournament surges once again before the tournament. A professional correspondent salon activity for 2009 China(Nanjing)Pearl spring Chess Tournament was conducted at Jiangsu Chess Academy in the morning on July 31. As a foreshadowing for propaganda in the popularization period, this activity was sponsored by the Tournament Organizing Committee. The correspondents of China Daily, Macao Daily, Xinhua Daily, Nanjing Daily, Jinling Evening News, Nanjing Morning Post and multiple medias attended the salon activity.
The tournament organizing committee invited Mr.Tang Jianming, Coach of Jiangsu Chess Academy, who would act as an umpire of the super tournament in this year, to explain the wall plate and introduce to the press gang the historical origin, cultural background, basic knowledge, operating rule and overseas development and popularization situation of chess. Then the organizing committee conducted joint planning and discussion with medias on how to do propaganda well in the popularization period.
According to reports, this is one of innovative propaganda manners of the Tournament Organizing Committee. It will still constantly integrate offshore, central, provincial and municipal media resources with strong influence, train professional chess correspondent teams in Beijing and Nanjing and carry out chess culture, game rule and other exchanges and training. Meanwhile, “with resources to replace space ”, it will constantly boost teamwork of medias, conduct depth cooperation with medias and tightly combine concern points of medias with propaganda of the tournament.
With August 1 as a node, currently the tournament completely enters into propaganda in the popularization period. On the basis of propaganda in the preheating period, propaganda in the popularization period will greatly promote media reportage amount, build urban atmosphere for the tournament, integrate official website, outdoor advertisement, news propaganda and media activity to expand tournament’s influence and citizen’s awareness rate,eliminate empty period of news propaganda before tournament, form continual nonstop propaganda momentum and build strong news propaganda atmosphere before tournament.
