Georgia’s player Dzagnidze defeated the former world champion Zhu Chen, and with three consecutive victories stood out in the women's groups. Xu Yuhua followed her by a semi-point.

　　The players of all the firstly-ended three chess were all from China. Former world champion Xu Yuhua used Nimzowitsch defense and used only 38 rounds to defeat Armenia player Mkrtchian. In this game of chess, Xu Yuhua who played Black fully prepared and quickly got advantage in the middle fighting.
