Zhang Jizhi (1186-1266), styled Wenfu, was a native of the present Wujiang Town, Pukou District; the descendant of the 8th generation of Zhang Ji, and the nephew of Zhang Xiangzhi. His father Zhang Xiaobo was a successful candidate in the highest imperial examination in the first year of Longqing, whose official career went as far as Daxueshi. Zhang Jizhi was appointed posts by right of his father and was promoted to Mizhige Zhishi eventually. According to History of the Song Dynasty, Zhang Jizhi was famous for his calligraphy and he wrote a lot of tablets and steles for many martial arts temples then.
Zhang Jizhi spent his late years in Ningbo and was buried in Taoyuan Township. His works are all scattered and lost.
