“Biological, Wealth and Harmonious” Pukou

　　The venue of the current tournament is located in Pukou District of Nanjing.

　　Pukou is in the northwest of Nanjing, facing the main city across the Changjiang River. It lies to the north of the Changjiang River and neighboring the Chuhe River on the other side. There’s a dragon-like Laoshan Mountain stretching across a hundred li in its center. Pukou has a long history and a great cultural heritage. There are a dozen of ancient cultural sites, Laoshan National Forest Park, Pearl Spring, Tangquan Spring, Amber Spring, Zhongdi Tai, Pagoda Hill, Bodhidharma Stele, Zhuangchang Tomb, Huiji Temple relic, ancient maidenhair tree, Doushuai Temple and Wenmiao Temple in the district.

　　From of old, Pukou has been the north gate of Jinling (ancient name of Nanjing) and an important place that connected the north and the south. In the times of Tang and Song Dynasty, famous scholars such as Li Bai, Wang Anshi, He Zhu and Qin Shaoyou traveled to this place and wrote many masterpieces.

　　As the major battle field of cross-river development of Nanjing, Pukou not only owns biological resources like Laoshan Mountain and hot springs, and great cultural heritage like Bohidharma of Buddhism and modern industry but also drives to high-end industrial development, regional leap development, based on its biological, scientific, educational and humane advantages. A modernized new city to the north of Changjiang River is being built and Pukou will become the highlight and landmark of Nanjing in the future.
